I'm in the process of finishing a 35x60 and came across your video. Really helpful. Your comment about not paying until the job is done really resonantes with me, you cut these huge "material deposits" and sit around sweating for weeks waiting for the job to happen. Had my slab poured last week so I only have walls, electric, insulation and HVAC remaining so I'll be using your stuff as a guide. Thanks!

Great video and thanks for all the info. We are building a 40x60, just signed the contract Monday. I agree with your thinking, we have worked hard all our life and time to enjoy never know what tomorrow will bring.

Beautiful pole barn, your attention to detail and forethought is impressive. Clearly you thought a lot about what you wanted. I appreciate your perspective on contractors and not paying upfront. I agree, it keeps them motivated to get the job done as quickly as possible.

Awesome video. I'll be running electricity in my 40x60 this spring/summer. It'll be a fun project. Thanks for sharing. Looks great.

It's beautiful even unfinished. Like the fence around the pole barn and the garage doors too. It looks like a project that will be easy to proceed with and not like a chaotic project bugged down in quagmire and shit.

Nice barn! I'm using the same high bay's in my 30 x 50, I really like them. I'm perplexed that your electricians ran MC everywhere. It would have been much cleaner and cheaper to run 3/4" - 1" EMT. They could run 15 20amp circuits through one 1" EMT run. Not being critical, just an observation. EMT allows for future proofing. If you leave a little room in the EMT runs, it makes adding circuits down the road much more simple. Just something for others to think about who run across this later. Congrats on the barn though, those doors are awesome.

I’d move just from having to listen to the damn dogs

It’s a lot like work running MC and hanging lights. I used about 250 ft of 12/2 MC for my 26x40x14 metal building to wire 4 UFO highbays (2 per switch) and 5 outlets. Next is wiring 3 exterior lights which will take about 80 ft of MC. I did hire an electrician to install an 100 amp panel in the builng an a couple of 50/20 RV plugs and a 20 exterior plug. I will be at about $8, 000 for electrical when I am done.

Crazy build. Leave the glass out of the bottom row on the shop doors it has to do with the shock & vibration when contacting the concrete.

I'd like to see how they secured the boxes for ther exterior outlets. I need to add a couple on my building. Ours was built without exterior sheathing, so I'm sure the boxes need more support than just being screwed to the steel siding alone.

Just ran across your site as I was doing research. I’m sure it’s not relevant to today’s prices but how much was the foundation and wring? It’s beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Great series, appreciate the info. I am GCing my build of a new house, with a 40 X 40 over-sized detached garage. Really like your garage doors. Can you tell me where you ordered them?

Were those pick lights 4 or 6 inches? Looking to add some to my barn just wanted to compare.
