Be really careful, for new buyers. Some pet stores have been labelling Asian Forest Scorpions as emperor, meaning they’ll likely be over-charging you. They are just as or even more docile though than emps I find.

I will say. with the flat Rock scorpions... They are easier to harm. They have a softer exosceleton, because they like to get between rocks.. so if it's your first.. please be gentel with them.

First time I saw a blue Emperor Scorpion it blew my mind. The colour was in sane and and it was full sized, never held a scorpion and has no clue wether or not it was gonna move fast up my arm so be nervous was a given, and it slowly crawling up my arm. It kinda spooked me but it was just really cool. I hope to get one some day.

European yellow tail. I can find them quite easily in the U.k as they’ve been native for over 200 years. From what I’ve seen these are really easy to keep. Smallish pincers so no risk of losing a finger and their venom is less potent than a bee sting.

Luckily we Malaysia has many types of Asian forest scorpions such as H petersii, longimanus, spinifer. And it's easy to capture, breed them and start a communal.

My first (and only) scorpion is my Desert Hairy scorpion. I love it! It was aggressive at first, and would sting its food many times, but almost a year later, it's quite calm. Granted, I won't test it by putting my hand in the cage. :-D

I agree that the emperor scorpion is a good beguiner because if you get stung by it you learn how to properly handle it.

I started with arizonia bark scorpion. Lol.. not the best. But caught in my back yard.. Then I purchased the giant desert hairy scorpion ( I had two. One was calm, the other is agressive).. now I bought the flat Rock scorpions love her, , she is way cool. 😀
