Shifting more would make sense as the FR is a 7 speed gearbox, where the Star Mazda has 6 gears.

ever considered of buying a pair of Stand21 gloves? I am a indoor go kart driver and they are one of the most popular gloves at the moment. They are made from leather, so the grip is very good. Maybe it will improve your laptimes ;)

I don't get why they chose the Renault 2.0 over the 3.5. This thing seems like another version of the Star Mazda, but not even as good. The Renault 3.5 would have been a smarter move in my opinion, seeing it would have bridged the gap between the MP4-30 and the Star Mazda and opened up a whole new category.

He says the car is kinda twitchy and you have to be careful but all what i see is that it looks very grippy. The rear end doesnt come at all

How does the downforce scale up? For instance, if the FR2.0 is slightly slower with default settings, does it have capacity to put more downforce on than the SM? You can usually fix twitchyness with the settings.

The onboard laps look very star mazdaish to me. It looks very good through the corners on stock settings, I'm sure once we get done with some sets it will be even better.

Also can you downshift ON throttle? The SM's gearbox is very reluctant.

i know its off topic but i also own this same wheel combination but i have some stickers getting bad on my f1 rim, is there any aftermarket stickers you can buy somewhere to replace these?

+200fps on an 60hz monitor/TV-screen and you didnt seem to have any screen tearing etc? Does iRacing have a built-in FPS engine thingy that erases those issues?

I love iracing but if you are on a budget the amount of content is severely limited as their pricing for anything outside of rookie class is out of this world.

As expected, the car doesn't behave anything like the real one. There a micro oversteer correction maybe once a lap and the rest of the time the car is dead and not doing anything.

I would like to point out that the baseline SM setup is crap aerowise. To be remotely competitive the balance must be moved much further forward which destabilizes the car significantly. As such I don't think the Renault is going to be actually any less stable than the current Star Mazda build.
