Unbelievable! It couldn't have been at a worse time. So happy Adam wasn't badly injured and they restored his place. Hope he is feeling OK today.

They restored his place but made no time adjustments for him on GC. Next week when something equally random and beyond the riders' control happens to Froome and Co. (Stage 12) they magically adjust their times. Good job ASO and UCI.

The timing of that banner falling was 1 to approximately 20000 within stage time (3600 seconds per hour). So if it was random and not sabotage that is a 0.1 in several millions of race seconds. And then some years later he wins a stage accompanied with his twin brother. Some otherwordly GMs at play having a laugh.

That looked pretty deliberate to me now I've seen the footage, it came down far too quick on top of Adam.
