A tip: save all the bits you sawed off of the bumper/hood/fascia/etc so that if Future Matt is broke and wants to sell the Viper, the next guy (it'll probably be a guy) can rebuild the bumper and fascia to make them worth thousand$ again. That's one nice thing about composites.

Hey Matt! A t-shirt is certainly better than nothing, but I strongly recommend something like a dust mask or in more super dusty conditions, a respirator. Silicosis is no joke, and there is no cure. My grandfather died of complications from a lack of PPE when working with glass dust and paint solvents, so if I said nothing I think he'd probably haunt me or something.

Matt, you should probably get an actual respirator and ear defenders. 3M makes great ones and they're quite cheap and comfortable. This sounds like mom talking, but I honestly wear mine because it's genuinely more pleasant to work in silence and not have black snot coming from my nose. Anyway that hack with the nitrogen was actually very smart, thanks!

One thing I love about watching your videos is that your ADHD makes my ADHD feel normal. You get me. If I don't have five unfinished projects I'm just not happy. And I'm also very unhappy about it. And I get one of them partially done and then work on another one because I feel like I've made progress. But I haven't.

The argon idea was good. When eventually your box frame decides to rust away, and you need to weld whatever was found in the scrapyard to keep the car going, there is argon ready to be used inside the car's shocks.

I make cutouts for the wheels very conservatively, experience has shown that at speed wheels do this job very well on their own.

Used to work as a mechanic in a shop that specialized in Vipers. At the time the 1st/2nd gen hoods were roughly 15~ grand. Had more than 1 very confused and upset customer when wed tell them the price.

Next time you need to 3d scan stuff, get some AESUB Blue. It sublimates and leaves no residue, coming from a professional 3d scanner person it's a godsend
