I'm no tractor or safety expert, but I'm happy to share my experience with you and look forward to hearing from you in the comments. Please post your tips to share with others. This video features the Kubota B2601 compact tractor and Land Pride attachments. I will discuss the PTO, 3 point hitch, front end loader, and other important features.

I still say that your voice is perfect for a tv host. Its understandable well pronouce no hesitation. DIY tv should have a half hour tv show about tractors and I nominate you.

Agree with you and your friends comments. I had a friend who’s arm was ripped from his shoulder from power take off and he was an experienced operator but one mistake was all it took. I was running my Kubota today with bucket to capacity. Every move was making sure I wouldn’t tip, slow, sure and safe.
BTW; I think of Fred Rogers when I watch you. He was great at presenting anything. Thanks again.

Always zip up your jacket when working around a tractor. Promptly zips up jacket. Jacket is unzipped for remaining scenes. 😂😂😂

Great safety comments! I almost had my Kubota L2900 turn over one day while grading around my 1500 foot garage under construction! Thanks for the tips!

Cut your hoods strings shorter. That is the kind of thing to get you hurt quickly. When you were looking at the pto they were close to your hands. Good points, thanks.

Some excellent tips there, Ed! I liked the intro showing that fancy handle! Thanks for displaying it! When i got my first tractor I didn't give any thought to ballast, I never had a problem, but I was lucky I never had an issue. I know better now. Ballast is so important! Have a safe new year! Cheers!

You need the PTO cover chain at each end. They aren't great when not chained properly. There should be a grease nipple at the base which has to be done. The new quick release PTO covers are good - on the shopping list.

Newbie question...if tires are filled for added weight, any special considerations when checking tire pressure?

Terrific tips here, Ed. Thanks for putting this video together. The “no front brakes” reminder might save my bacon someday. FWIW, I’d suggest that eye and hearing protection are important too. The B2601 operates at noise levels that can result in long-term hearing loss.
