It's been almost three years since I was last pregnant, and in those years we've gotten more updated information on pregnancy skincare. So I thought it would be fun to react to my old pregnancy skincare video with updated information from board-certified dermatologists Dr. Lindsey Zubritsky and Dr. Jenny Liu. Watch this video find out what skincare ingredients and treatment you actually have to avoid when pregnant and breastfeeding.

❣️ NOTE: Always discuss skin questions and skincare ingredients with your physician.

People in the comments: When Susan, the dermatologists she referenced, or even your own doctor says something is "probably fine", that means it is UP TO YOU to decide if you want to take the risk or not, as Susan literally says in this video several times. I dont understand what yall are confused about. 🤨
Susan literally says there isn't really any science behind ANY of it, because there aren't any tests on actual pregnant women. So it's YOUR decision. If you don't want to take the risk, then don't. It's that simple.

I’m an RMT and it’s perfectly safe and healthy to get a massage in the first trimester (as long as YOU are comfortable). But you do want to tell your massage therapist as soon as your pregnant and yes find somebody trained in prenatal massage. You won’t have to lay on your back during a massage if your massage therapist is trained in prenatal massage.

‘I want to punch myself in the face for saying that one’ 🤣 I laughed so hard!

Thank you for providing this update! I am in my 3rd trimester so knowing what is now most likely safe during breast feeding is helpful!

It’s interesting about the aspirin thing, because a lot of pregnant women are recommended to take small dose aspirin whilst pregnant!

Thank you for this video, please talk about chemical sunscreen during pregnancy! 😕 Feeling unsure if it’s safe or not but I do prefer chemical sunscreen because there’s no white cast.

To anyone that might be reading this, I wish that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. I wanted to give some positivity out to anyone that might need it. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, the doubt exit your mind right now. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life... even tho current times are challenging and some of you might go through tough times now I sincerely wish everyone that happiness enters your hearts and let all the stress and sadness vanish out of your life...as you know nothing in life is ever easy, but what's important is that you keep going!
you're worthy of love and happiness, never allow anyone to tell you otherwise! It can be extra hard sometimes but stay strong and hang in there, your life matters, no one can replace you, I'm thankful you're born and I'm sure your struggles will pass soon! I wish all of you plenty of health and strength during any current tough times you face. Remember you are strong, you got this! never forget that!
sending much love over towards all of you, May god or what ever you might believe in bless you the way you need it to!

Hi Susan! Which products do you recommend from Naturium while pregnant?

I'm glad that you warned against fragrance back then because it irritated my skin during my second pregnancy. I would have never guessed that it was fragrance otherwise.

I like Susan's reaction videos. It's so good that she chose to dispel previous information. And to share information from dermatologists about certain ingredients. It's also hard to believe that she was pregnant with her daughter that long ago. I still think of her kids as adorable babies. I'm pretty sure they are still adorable though.

O also what about mineral vs chemical sunscreens?? I saw you say mineral sunscreens in another video and people seem to be 50/50 on this one when pregnant. Would love to know your thoughts!

Would love to you your thoughts on bakuchiol while pregnant?

Thanks for this video. I'm not sure how safe a future or a new mama would feel about advice like "it's probably fine to use X" though. If it's not known whether it's safe, why do you say "probably fine"?! I would prefer to know there's science behind it showing it's ok, that it's safe.

Thank you for raising the issue with EWG! I believed in natural products before too. My skin just got worse. And it has been years of my hair is suffering from a condition because I thought a natural shampoo was better for my hair.
