I didnt quite get when we use cls and self in Class method

Thanks for creating such an amazing video, the part 7 is very confusing, are you saying we cant actually create a private variable in python and python doesn't have such capability?
I cant get my head around why the Cls class method will be use.
I have watched the chapter 7 video twice and still cant fully grabs most of the explanation you provided.
