One person dead and six missing after superyacht sinks off coast of Sicily

One body has been recovered by the Italian coastguard and six people are missing after a yacht sank off the coast of Sicily in the early hours of the morning during extreme weather.

British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah, are among those who remain missing, while Mr Lynch's wife, Angela Bacares, is one of 15 people who have been rescued.

There are reports that the superyacht, named the Bayesian, sank after a heavy storm caused waterspouts to form over the sea, destabilising the luxury vessel.
