How Could the War in Ukraine End?

Today, I am looking into a few different scenarios as to how Ukraine's fight for its independence will end. This report will be part of a series covering the situation in the country, and what factors have led to it, so stay tuned in the next couple weeks for these reports.

I’m curious - you mentioned the possibility of Moldova getting invaded too some time after this invasion. I’ve seen that speculated as well. What do you think about the risk towards Russia’s other non-NATO members? Just running through them

Georgia: This stands out in particular, with the South Ossetia and Abkhazia disputes still hanging over it.

Azerbaijan: It has been getting closer with the West and EU. If it doesn’t choose to realign towards a more neutral direction, I could see them getting threatened too.

Armenia: Safe most likely, because they joined CSTO already (in response to Azerbaijan being EU-aligned). They are the most democratic of Russia’s allies though, so there’s room for future troubles.

Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan: are already dedicated to neutrality, so I would think they’re pretty safe.

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan: are already in the CSTO.

Mongolia: On the surface a clear potential conflict. But if Russia did ever want to invade them, it runs serious risk of China seeing it as a threat to their future diplomatic plans (same goes with all Central Asia, as mentioned above. Particularly Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Also Central Asian countries could probably be bought instead)

Belarus and Kazakhstan: These are also options. They’re loyal Russian allies now, but they still have some real tension with Russia every once in a while. If they ever get a little *too* rebellious (like Kazakhstan is flirting with right now honestly), an intervention isn’t out of the question.

Finland, Sweden and China: I’m only mentions them for posterity lol. Obviously war is extremely unlikely here

well looks like the Ukrainians fought much better than expected, and Russia is struggling to expand from the 20 percent of Ukraine they hold. and while the war is a stalemate with the Russians currently with the momentum as of March 1 2024, the Russians have incurred 450K casualties of that 100K dead. Ukrainians have suffered around 250K casualties 30K dead. 7K destroyed tanks 12K destroyed APCs. Russian ruble has devalued nearly 100 percent since June 2022. and its a bloody stalemate with both sides no closer to giving up the war.
