The 4 phase linear pulse valve is very basic in its design but offers much needed flexibility and precise superheat control. This stepping motor type is now seen on both air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Great video. What sound do they make when you first switch on the air con and they initialise? I have a problem with a mini split air con freezing. Most likely low on refrigerant, but want to check the EEV before I call a licensed technician. My EEV makes clicking noises for 2-3 seconds when the unit is powered on. Is that expected?
