ADHD used to be my favorite channel, Mac DeMarco is one of my favorite artists, you can imagine the fucking mindgasm when I saw this and realized it was the best animation for one of my favorite songs

When I was a little boy I spent a lot of my time watching all weird music videos on MTV, because they were cool just like this senseless video. I love it!

There is no real story to this video, other than life always has its letdowns, but that doesn't mean it's the end of the world, in the end that harrowing worry of existential dread so imprinted into our enlightened minds, out of ones own fear of self, is simply a pointless rumination, a good example is the scene of the big lipped cigarette smoking being reaching out his hand to the blue boy, think of the being as a cigarette, he grabs his hand, which is an analogy to ones clutch, the thing that gets them through tough times and sometimes even the day. And at the end of the video, through all that worry, things turned out ok. Like always...

Its called Blue boy right, So what would make Mac BLUE?, maybe not having the money to buy his beloved cigarettes..
If you know Mac DeMaRco, he used to do odd jobs just to pay the rent when he first moved to New York. so I think the person making the video Is playing on that, because a dog walker is one odd job!.
The big green monster, isn't really a big green monster, he represents cigarettes. When Mac is standing on the grass the cigarette is green, just like the monster. So Mac becomes blue when he lost, the green monsters dog. Thus Mac starts to think he will not get paid so he cannot buy his beloved cigarettes.
