2024 BMW M 1000 XR Sportbike/Engine Sound 201HP

BMW Motorrad has introduced the new BMW M 1000 XR sportbike.
The new BMW is designed to meet the highest demands, from dynamic riding on rural roads to long-distance travel and racing.
The new M XR has increased performance, optimized ergonomics, a refined aggressive design and expanded standard and optional equipment.

The new M XR is equipped with a modified 1-liter water-cooled 4-cylinder engine based on the S 1000 RR power unit with ShiftCam technology.
Its maximum output power is 148 kW (201 hp) at 12750 rpm.
The maximum engine speed is 14,600 rpm.
Maximum torque of 113 Nm is achieved at 11,000 rpm.
The claimed top speed is 170 miles per hour (280km/h), and it accelerates from zero to 124 miles per hour(200km/h) in 7.2 seconds.
The new sports bike has a kerb weight of 223 kilograms.492 lbs

The engine is coupled to a six-speed transmission and is equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter.
For even more traction at the rear wheel, a shorter secondary gear ratio has been selected in all gears, thanks to the use of a sprocket that now has 47 teeth.

The sportbike has a tricky suspension to handle all that power. The 45mm inverted fork utilizes closed cartridge technology.
The suspension has a lot of built-in adjustability, with electronically controlled dynamic damping control.
There's also an adjustable steering damper to help you keep the front end in line at speed.

The new M XR has been fitted with wings in the front side panel area to achieve the best possible driving stability at high speeds.
These wings generate aerodynamic downforce, increasing the load on the front wheels by around 12 kg at 220 km/h.

The 6.5-inch TFT display on the dashboard provides clear visibility and features riding modes such as: Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race and Race Pro.
It also comes with a set of electronic driver assistance features including speed limiter, launch control, dynamic traction control, wheel control, dynamic brake control, and Pro shift assistant.
The Brake Slide Assist function allows the driver to brake while cornering with a constant slide.

You can also add the M Competition package, which includes carbon fiber wheels, front and rear fenders, chain guard and side panels, and many other comfort-oriented accessories and extras.
All of this reduces weight by 3 kg.

The price for the new BMW M 1000 XR starts at $ 24,990.

I thank GOD, and am SO glad BMW decided to improve that funky "scoop" seat!! I'm also glad BMW FINALLY saw fit to give this bike an "adjustable" Steering damper (2:28). I "need" THAT on my '23, now! I wonder if the adj steering damper is prior-year compatible? I would get it if it was. -
