Paul Maurice is the best thing that could have happened to the Panthers. I would call 2 finals appearances in a row a statement and if they win the Cup this time, they will most likely discuss a contract extension.
The best Panthers team in 30 years. And Maurice is an important and crucial part of this team. Without him, the back-to-back finals appearances probably wouldn't have happened.
And honestly, I don't think a third consecutive Finals appearance is unlikely. Every game brings more experience and brings the squad closer together. Nothing is really impossible for the Panthers anymore.
