What does it mean that drawing is haram or music is haraam. Let me tell you something! İf there will not any islamic band or children movies Then you will have to let your child to watch amerikan bad movies or haraam musics. Music is not haram, there are haraam musics!

I'm a design student myself and I'm very confused. If I am to wholeheartedly accept that drawing and painting human/animal figures is haraam, then does it really make it all that different if the figures don't have necks and wrists and ankles. You're still drawing people, and the images convey the same message and have the same effect as they would if they were complete. I'm also confused about how intent(education/dawah) can make an otherwise haraam thing halal, and why it can't make it completely halal without restrictions.

Please don't get me wrong, I appreciate your work and commend your dedication, but I just can't understand why or how drawing could be halal in this manner for this purpose and not for any other intents and purposes. If you have any detailed sources for this knowledge that would be a great help. I've looked at the islamqa.info fatwa and I'm not terribly convinced.
