Gotta say mate, I'm pretty disappointed with those results, even given the EMI.
Having just dug a 1.6 grammer from a carefully measured 16 inches, and an 0.14 grammer from 3 inches, with my ZED / 22CC X coil ( which only has an 11 inch centre receive coil ), I would have expected much better from effectively a 10 inch round coil. I'm sure that a 4000 / 4500 / 5000 would get that 2 grammer much deeper!
Having said that, not bad for a " cheap " machine. For me, however, it's all about raw performance, and I could not tolerate a machine with such limited depth capabilities.

You seem to be battling a bit of EMI in that video, was your sensitivity over 25? I guess being your backyard plenty of sources of EMI around, I'm fortunate I can run mine just about anywhere around here without encountering EMI like that. That 12x8" is meant to be a bit of a noisy coil though.
