My brand new sonicwake 100% stock desoldered an ec5 connector on its maiden voyage. The distributor here in Australia replaced the esc however its got more damage to the motor wires and pole contactors but they’re not fixing anything else because they said i must not of had my batteries plugged in properly and claim the damage was from a high resistance joint from the battery connectors!!! i know i had the ec5 connectors from the battery pushed in all the way when it happened.. Pretty poor warranty support really imo. Anyway Ive got a dual outlet rudder and hope i can finally enjoy the boat when i get it back from the distributor. But i dont think ill buy another proboat again. Thanks for the video!! 👌

Sorta glad to hear someone else having issues with solder melting with their SW36, even on the stock prop. I'm very close to dropping $130 on a Hobbywing SeaKing 180A ESC just to get the battery wires stepped up from 12AWG to 10AWG since you can't desolder/resolder on these marine ESCs. Not sure if I'll do it, but I'm also thinking of changing from the EC5 plugs to the big OSE 8 connectors.

Looks good. Did it fix the overheating issue?

what is it for? at 6s and 5000mah, the batteries need cooling, not the electronics, the batteries at the end of May 70 degrees Celsius and the rest 50

think nitro tubing is too small for water cooling

Fried my esc today on 2 3cell lipos. What a piece of crap this thing is. Why do they put such cheap crap in a boat. They know it will fail and they boast about how great it runs on 3s. PIECE OF S##T.
