Nice summary. BTW, Lady Macbeth *appears* the stronger willed of the two - but remember this play is all about appearances being deceptive, of the flower hiding the serpent - and vice versa. The Lady Macbeth who says she'd dash her baby's brains out is the same character who cannot murder an old man who looks like her father - and we know which is the real one, because the latter is delivered in soliloquy. She is the embodiment of 'foul is fair', just as her husband is the embodiment of 'fair is foul'...

After having read Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and The Tempest (with the Tempest being the only play I have written 30-40 pages about for a pre-scientic thesis), I decided to read Macbeth as well.
