RDR2 has got some of the best shotguns in videos games because you can actually use them at distance instead of them falling off at like 5 yards.

Favourite shotgun in the game, it just feels so satisfying. It's purely a "fck everything in that general direction" kinda gun and I love it. One shots in most cases, surprisingly good range, has spectacular kill cams when blowing someone's head off, great sound, great feel, good on horseback when trying to kill those pesky bounty hunters as they surround you. Just a good gun all around although I never found the recipe for certain ammo types, I only got shells, slugs and explosive slugs I'm pretty sure.

I have a theory regarding the gun. At the end of the game John gets all of Arthur's guns. Now fast foward to the events of rdr and when John returns to the farm he unlocks the pump action shotgun. So my theory is that shotgun from rdr 1 was arthurs shotgun

There is a free one in that ranch you rob with Javier. it's hidden in the attic.

The most versatile firearm in the game. Shell, slug, incendiary and explosive. Its a god gun

Super fun to use. I wish we could use it for hunting big animals and still get a perfect pelt.

Early on there’s a camp mission with Javier that takes you to a stealth/shootout where afterwards you can find this gun at the top of a ladder in a chest.
Honestly it kinda wrecks the difficulty curve of the early game.

One of the best a-hole deterrents in the online mode, is a pump action with incendiary buckshot.

Dual wield double barrels have the same effect but you better land your shots immaculately.

You can also get it on a robbing mission with Javier but if u miss it, u can go to the location anytime to get it

If you can't get it for free from the gunsmith you can get it from a box inside of a house. The house is north of Valentine and west of Window Rock.
