I’m addicted to Forza Horizon 5

Forza Horizon 5 (PC, Xbox Series X/S/One) has completely hooked me and helped me realize a few things about myself. No, it’s not that deep. Let’s talk about this awesome racing game.

I’m not typically a racing game fan, but this game is just such a joy to play. The sheer amount of dedication they put into fleshing out every location in the series is astounding.

It’s great to hear from non-car-fanatics that this game is addicting, as well. When the Horizon branch came out with their first game, their mission statement was, quote: “…To turn Car Enthusiasts into gamers, and gamers into car enthusiasts.” You claiming to now identify as a car guy after playing Forza is not only totally normal, but means that Playground Games accomplished their goal with their game! I personally listen to the radio in game not because I necessarily like all the music but because of the information about the world, events and people that you get from the radio host . It helps to keep me “immersed” in the world

I played FH4 when I was watching The Grand Tour. Basically I would watch an episode of TGT a day, and later that day or next day would dive into FH4 head first, either trying out cars which were talked about in that episode, or just roam around in different cars.

What a time was it.

Loading in and the music goes “yeah we doing it so much better” that, was my moment. I was instantly hooked and it truly took my by surprise about much different this game is than the last. Forza horizon 5 actually has me listening to the beauty of this game. Getting 2 of the same car and building 2 different things out of it and it actually sounds different. The actual feel for speed you get in this game is outstanding and the landscape and depth of view from the mountains hills or volcano is absolutely stunning. All around such an immersive game for car and non car people. Truly astonishing.

I've played every horizon game to death and i can confidently say this one is the best. It takes the best elements from all of them and then improves upon them. People keep talking about graphics and sound but even if those elements were average, this would still be a good game.

I think most people don't get forza horizon, its not just about racing, its about driving, there's a difference, its about having a good, fun time driving your dream/favorite cars and exploring a beautiful world.

This is the first Forza where I've actually started racing online regularly and the racing has been surprisingly very good, even in public lobbies.
They fill out pretty quickly, the ghosting if someone is about to ram into you is brilliant, I've had some great battles with people racing up the volcano on the switchbacks and whatnot.

Really really been enjoying this one, way more than I enjoyed FH4. Not sure what it is, but there is just something about this game that's got me good.

Like you, Jake, I am very addicted to Horizon 5. While I have enjoyed the horizon series, this one is filled with a lot to do, collect and enjoy with friends. Great video and glad to see you’re enjoying it :)

Jake your excitement and enthusiasm is infectious. This Forza Horizon 5 went from “I’ll get to it at some point” to “How do I fit this in before the end of the year” for me now. Fantastic stuff as usual.

I almost bought a DeLorean last summer for around $29K and they are currently floating around $50K+. gonna get one when the time is right.
