PoE 3.17 - Make More Currency with Layered Strategies

In today's video, PoE 3.17 - Make More Currency with Layered Strategies, I'll be discussing how to make currency in PoE Archnemesis League by running multiple, synergistic strategies that feed into one another. If you want to learn how to farm Exalts, this PoE farming strategy might help you out.

The concept is simple: have a foundational strategy that generates consistent income, have that feed into a strategy that creates bumps of currency gain, and have an overarching chase strategy that has the potential to create huge spikes in currency gain.

Let me know what your strategy is!

What's your strategy? I'm curious to know what both experienced and newer players think of this

As someone who has only 130 hours, I feel like this video accelerated my learning by tons of hours. Great content, you have a knack for it

Doing your build. With a literal twist. Crafting much more than before, and enjoying it. I had pretty much given up on the game.13k hours is way too much time, to spend on anything, except sleeping. The game, and the guild, had become more of a chore. And then came sister Cassia, the disco-nun, out of the blue. Or maybe out of the belfry.

It's fun again! I try new stuff, and it's all down to you, and Omisid. You're both such down to earth, natural and likeable people.
Not afraid of sharing your knowledge, and mistakes. Unlike some other content creators.
At a rough guess, I've spent 4000 hours explaining stuff, to new players. To then watch a video, with someone stating he's the biggest earner in the game, and have a perfect strategy for the new league. But he won't share it, because he wants to keep ahead of the pack (he also have a paid trader).
Such things seriously pisses me off, but it can be down to spectrum issues. Not all people can keep a finger on the pulse.

*Enough of this!* The twist is a really simple one. My hands are old and arthritic, and so is my GPU. So I use The Gull.
The first Unique I found in the game, back in 2013. Now usable, and fantastic. When the packs swarm you, and the fps goes down to 0.5 : Having those massive/ replenishing/ impenetrable/ accelerating shrine buffs really helps.

To save my fingers, and keep the fire burning under my ass, I also have The Dancing Dervish, on weapon swap. For the easier content. It's like being in party with two sleep deprived guys on cocaine. With a trapper build, they kill almost nothing, except trash mobs. But they don't have to. They bleed and stun-lock everything. You just have to keep up, and throw some Exsanguinate traps to finish things off. Kills all, in no time, empty handed. Except the worst rare bosses, from bad recipes. But then I've already swapped back, to Cold Iron Points/ Bear Trap/ Void Sphere/ Stone Golem.
Unique, low tier bosses, is no problem at all. The swords just never stop spinning, so you have all the time in the world to get all your stuff out.

Sorting out which gems go where, was a bit of a fuffle. As was solving the resist, when I saw it worked. I ended up with just one extra Flame Dash gem, and swapped Determination for Purity of Elements. The sword doesn't have to be linked, just 6 socketed.
Cost me maybe 30 c, all in all, with new jewelry. I also tried the Soulthirst Belt, but it takes away too many points from crit, to get enough flask duration. Only good for zoomy self-cast spells, like EK & Spark. No matter, I tripled the money I spent crafting the special flask-mods needed. Plus, I found a new reasonably lucrative craft. Flask-mods you just roll over, when you try to craft for flask builds. Sell it, buy a new base.

TL:DR You *can* teach old dogs new tricks. Greetings from Sweden, and thank you!

great video! concise enough for a new player to easily follow along but also interesting for experienced players to get a breakdown of your own strategy

Currently maxing delve with strong boxes and harbingers. Spending more time delve than anything as a result. New player and an area I've been wanting to get a better handle on.

Amazing vid! Could not have articulated the layered strategies any better myself

Full passive income with at least 3 guaranteed "drops" in a map. I've gone full into strongboxes, Harbingers, and essences. All small currency gains with the potential to drop exalts, rare div cards, and good crafting mats for selling.

Very nice, very helpful, good food for thought!

Hello Lolcohol! As a 6k houred player, I agree mostly with what you said. However I do not fully agree that If we do not have bumps or spikes then we need to reconsider our strategy. You can reach a very high ex/hr with just a very strong foundation. For example, you can farm blight, metamorph and expedition every map by using the scarabs, and the currency is very consistant with no big spikes (there are bumps in terms of blighted map drops, logbook drops and maybe a burst of good catalyst drops, but with the buff of atlas passives, these happen more or less every or every other maps). So the end result is just a consistent stream of income of about 4-5ex/h, which I consider to be ok money just quick mapping. Of course, I am not saying that having chase/spikes in the strategy is bad, it is in fact very good, but there exist more stable methods. My current strategy is just harbi, harvest and expeditions (trying to craft some of the gears for next build before respecing into a more map juicing atlas tree). Beside my points, I think its a good video and very informative!

Another type of layering is layering by source. Start by picking a master. You'll get missions pretty consistently if you spec into the right nodes, and can have that master in a lot of maps for no per-map cost. Next, pick a mod from the atlas device. You can apply this to every map with just a chaos cost per-map. Next, pick scarab(s) to add as well. Grab those nodes on the passive tree, and you're now running 3+ layers of content per-map. At higher levels you can add sextants or what not, but that's a good start.

THIS! I've always been trying to play ALL OF THE GAME ... didn't quite get me anywhere :-)

short answer is play a lot 1st and formost if you dont have time dont expect a hh week 1, this league i did heist every map with stored sextants and polished expedition scarabs with eater of worlds alters, did strand exclusively made enough for hh by day 5

ndcitysaint

Best thing ive been doing is running strand or city square. Started with only eater of worlds influence farming but now doing expedition with the quant increase stacking from alters. Almost sustaining expedition scarabs from league mechanic and 3% scarab drop mod from alter.

It shows that this was made at the beginning of the league when he talks about the House of Mirrors for 20 ex. Just checked and they are going for 85 ex at the cheapest right now. Crazy. I sold one for 65 ex a few weeks ago and felt like I won the lottery lol.

Harvest ftw. Cluster crafting, into item crafting.
And this league has been exceptional for small exchanges

Ive invested my atlas heavily into Essenes, Ritual, and Heist. My 3 favourite mechanics. The Essenes nodes are so good. Sometimes im getting 10 Essences from just 1 monster (well technically 2), which is insane.

you can put together a video of which essence to use on which team and what to look for in the enchantment. Ex. Essence 1, boot ilv 80, waiting for tailwind

Hi, just found your channel, Just wonder how you so quickly move items to stash, like 1:00 ? anyone knows this trick?

My atlas atm is focused on essence expedition elder shaper maven “heist stash for contracts or blueprints and harvest for tft” and it is quite good has some bumps but atleast im not running out of options on where to get currency :)
