“Behind Her Eyes” was written when Ossama’s mom was in the hospital with cancer. She passed away right after it was finished and this music really sums up the deep emotional, sad and hopeful feelings we were going through in 2020-2021. Instrumental music always speaks to us in ways that run very deep and this song always felt like the perfect compliment to Close To Your eyes. Looking back, that time feels like a very nostalgic, beautiful and important time for us and we’re so glad these songs are out in the world now.
