Learn how to sew panties with simple braided elastic. If you cannot match the fabric and elastic colours, this is the perfect tutorial for you. In this video, I show how to know the measurements of the elastic and how to sew it. For this tutorial, you can use my sewing pattern but I also explain how to do it with any sewing pattern you have.

Here is another idea. You can use regular, quarter-inch white elastic in the same way you use lingerie elastic, using a serger, but change the colors of your serger threads to a pretty color, and use a wide stitch, so the white elastic is almost completely covered up by the colorful serger thread. An elastic applicator foot is very helpful. Wooly nylon in the loopers will give even more coverage. (We all have lots of “regular” elastic leftover from mask-making, so it’s a good way to use it up.) Great video, I subscribed.
