3 THINGS I DISLIKE ABOUT THE HONDA RANCHER 420 !!

I bought and installed a 4 inch light bar in the grill and it helped a lot. I agree with the different wheel size’s being dumb. You definitely will be last running against a 850 or 1000 because they are 2x the bike you’ve got. Can’t expect a 420cc to have the same power as a 850cc.

They last forever. Any bike you buy you have to buy tires to fit it.
Power- you Buy a 420cc you arent getting 1000cc speed.

Way back when we had a group of folks that would go riding- the Polaris 500 Sportsman was the biggest (and heaviest) machine on the market. This one fellow had it, his son had the 2-smoke 250 Honda, and I had a Mojave 250. Our pastor rode a Warrior, his son had a Banshee, and there were a smattering of Big Bears, Wolverines, and Honda 300s mixed in usually. Us sport quad riders kinda wondered why anyone but an old dude would want a heavy 4x4 quad. The 2-strokes would run off and leave everything in the dust. My Mojave weighed less than 400 lbs. I never got it stuck. Myself and the Banshee, and 250R didn’t balk at hills and rocky climbs. We just gassed it and went.
Now I’m an old dude, and I still don’t get the draw of a 700+ lb machine.
That being said, if you like a reasonably bulletproof quad, if you prefer a machine that, if cared for, will outlive you, big red is the only player in the game.
Too bad the sport quads are essentially dead and rubber band transmissions are just about the only drive choice these days. Long live Honda.

It's perfect for my purposes and fits easily in the back of my pickup truck.. perfect

It's only a 420, I think it does fairly well, clears my driveway with a 5ft blade when the snow flies that's all I got to say

I can't figure out what's wrong with mine. It has fire going into ignition coil but not coming out, the coil Is Good. My maintenance light doesn't work.

This is a beautiful machine. You don't get a lot of problems. You just change the oil on time, the machine just run the same everyday for many years.

They're not meant for racing and if you're riding with someone with an 800cc of course it's going to be faster. If you want something that's going to go fast, get a racing four-wheeler

I know there not real fast but if you only know how many other big atvs I've Told back to the parking lot. You wouldn't believe me. Also on tires. I've got bigger ones on mine and on reliability. You can't beat it all my other mudden buddies.
Has had there's in the shop. Mine has never been in.
But I want has their opinions so have fun riding. Got 2010, 2014 Rancher they've ben 👍

Great vid can agree there’s a lack of power but like u said it’s a work horse. Compared to the 2010 Honda rancher the new ones are a down grade. New one is more work based than the old one witch is a true sport utility

What i dislike is how easy your legs rubbing the plastic will cause scubb marks... 7 rides are scratched up. Anything outthere to prevent and repair those

The only thing I don't like about my 420 is no low gear range.
