The Social Democrat leader, 34, was last week sworn in as prime minister for Finland to head a coalition government – in which four out of five coalition leaders are women under 35.

Marin is the youngest serving prime minister in the world, ahead of New Zealand’s Jacinda Ardern, 39, and the Ukrainian leader Oleksiy Honcharuk, 35.

The rampant sexism and ageism in the comments is appalling. I question whether there are really that many hard core right-wingers in Finland.

Content of character and ideas matter, who cares if she’s female and young????

"There's no trick"

Well yes, but actually no

The preceeding PM is from the same party but resigned so she as VPM got his place. Even if we didn't vote for her or the people she appointed to be the ministers working around her.

This woman, the Finnish minister, is a vision of where the Finnish community has sunk. Human dignity is no longer a value there. Shame!! Pure America

She tricked Finland, one of the worst politicians ever. She is very unpopular in Finland but media won’t tell that to you.
