AVOID THESE CRUISE SHIP CABINS AT ALL COSTS.
You cannot control most things on a cruise ship. the one thing you can control to have a better cruise is your cabin location. Picking the wrong cabin location can completely ruin the vacation.

Never want an adjoining room. You hear everything!

After I choose my cabin I tell the travel agent that I do not want a complimentary upgrade. The cruise lines idea of upgrade is different from mine.

I do get seasick.Always do lowest deck mid ship and I am fine. Last year did my first interior. Absolutely loved it!

Your advice is 💯. Although l love my cabin forward and high. We enjoy the motion when sleeping. 😴

Exactly Don always research the room and what is around you.

Don't get a cabin directly under the buffet. Did this on a Disney ship, and 6AM every morning you could hear them prepping for breakfast. Charis, carts full of dishes etc, all moving around over your head. To be fair, it only lasted about an hour, once the buffet was open it wasn't too bad.
Also, if you are interested in an obstructed balcony, do your research. Had an obstructed view on the Regal princess and it was great! There was a small platform outside our windrow, but it didn't obstruct our view at all. Also, watch out for balconies on the back of the ship. Sometimes these balconies can get a coating of diesel soot from from the stacks.

One of my favorite cabins was by an elevator... So convenient and I didn't hear a this was on a brand new ship, The Viva.

On one cruise my wife and I decided to economize and get an interior cabin. One interior cabin is like another, right? So, to save a few bucks we let Princess assign it. Of course, our cabin was directly under the Neptune's Pool area, which was Party Central. Hang the cost; we've selected our cabins ever since.

Never had any issues with noise until we had an adjoining cabin. I could hear their conversations and the TV clearly through the door.

I always go inside cabin. Cheap and very quiet. Best sleep I ever get

I also stay away from the cabins rigged for extra kids.

We always try to get a cabin with cabins above and below us and somewhere near mid-ship if possible.

Yep I always chose my cabin for best location for me. I look at the deck plans before locking in on that stateroom.

I'm a very light sleeper, these are great reminders

I love the front of the ship! It rocks me to sleep just like a baby. But one time we had a cabin right up the piano bar.😢that did not lull me to sleep like a lullaby unfortunately.

Never book the front cabins, leave them for us. Love the quiet forward facing high cabins, any motion in the ocean is a bonus.

I like being by the elevators. It’s so much more convenient. I’ve never noticed any noise being by them.

I've cruised in inside cabins to mini suites. Most of the time, I'm not too fussed about what cabin I get because I don't get seasick, and I don't spend a lot of time in the cabin. However, if I'm going somewhere tropical or warm, I like to get a balcony.

I loved my cabin near the elevator on RC Ovation of the Seas. It wasn't noisy at all. It was so nice to walk out my door, hop on an elevator, and be where I wanted to go. I'm sure that experience is not the same on all ships but I'd risk it again.
