Hi, thank you so much for your videos, they're really useful! :)
Just a quick question, for the labelled diagram of the Sn redox system, would you have to draw a platinum metal electrode in the hydrogen containing cell too?

In buffer questions on the mark scheme it has an incomplete equation when explaining that H+ reacts with OH- when alkali is added ie. H+ + OH- -> Do we write H20 as a product or just leave it blank?

hi love your videos but just wondering for the questions where you need to write what reactions are feasible surely the CU2+ and SN4+ equation wont be feasible as the difference between the 2 electrodes is 0.37 and so not feasible as it is not 0.40 or above? Thanks!

Hi Dr Orchard. For Q4bii, if the given half equation is at the negative electrode so it must be oxidation (loss of electrons) so wouldn’t you flip it? Then the other half equation is at the positive electrode so it must be reduction so the electrons should be on the reactant side as in gain? But when i do this and add the half equations the overall equation is the other way round so I know I’ve gone wrong somewhere. Basically I don’t understand the theory behind the direction of the half equations in this question.
