I used to hate spicy food when I was young and then started finding spicy foods that were worth the pain, and then realized that if I got spicy food, my family wouldn't steal it after getting burned by it. It became self perpetuating at that point. I enjoy the espression of concern whenever I go to the local Chinese place and order mapo tofu and they feel obligated to warn me of how hot it is.

The thing to remember about Da Bomb Beyond Insanity is that it's actually designed to put one or two drops into a whole pot of chili to add heat and flavor. Like it's not actually meant to just straight-up eat like they do on Hot Ones.
