By chance just happened to watch this again where at ~7.45 you change from Auto to Manual attenuation which I cannot recommend. When using an external attenuator you should instead leave Auto Attenuation set and adjust the Ref Offset to account for the external attenuation. While set to Auto, the analyzer can better protect itself especially at its most sensitive settings.

I have a 1.5GHz SVA1015X which I love. I used it last week to measure the noise spectrum of an isolated DC-DC converter.
I use a Logitech K400 when I save files, since it is much easier to type file names than using the on-screen keyboard. I find I really don't use the touch screen that much.
I find I have no need to use a USB drive. I save my files to the internal SSD while I work and transfer them to my computer using the units built-in FTP server.
It is an excellent tool, I hope you enjoy using it.

I just got one, and I LOVE it. What a great machine. (Mine is now a 3032X Plus, as I'm sure yours probably is as well ;) How do you find the Modulation Analyzer, AM and FM modes? I find it's very fussy with its settings needed, to measure FM Deviation and AM Modulation Depth accurately. But I am being fairly picky I guess! 73

I think a tracking generator is a must in spectrum analyzer. You can do so much more with that like measuring filters.
Those have gotten quite affordable, not a price similar to a nice car like they used to be.

I like my Siglent scope but a spectrum analyser is way out of my price range unfortunately. Very nice bit of kit
