1. I will NEVER get tired of that Bullet Time scene.
2. I'm sure people understand how much the Bullet Time scene works on a story fundamental level (something built up from a statement by Morpheus earlier in the movie), but I think it's fascinating on how it works on a scientific level.
So, the agents' weapon of choice is a Desert Eagle, which has a muzzle velocity of 580 m/s or 1, 900 fps, which is 1, 295.46 mph (just a little under mach 2, if I'm not mistaken). So, basically, Neo's reaction time to dodging those bullets is at a MINIMUM of mach 2!

Might be the first bullet time but we should all know that a man by the name of John woo used slow motion in gun fights and to show emotion. And would lead to the matrix taking that and shaping it for what it became, and also leading to one of the most amazing game trilogy 'max Payne'

I like how Agent Smith was so excited to have Neo under his gun,
that he forgot he had already emptied his clip (a computer program should easily know this kind of thing).

I consider that the first bullet time used in animation was the final scene of the intro of the manga Speed Racer, Mach GoGoGo), when the perspective rotates 90° around Mach 5 and Speed Racer..

I've noticed that a lot of films from the late 90's had this tinge of greenish color.

I thought Blade was there first film. The scene where Blade and Deacon speak in broad daylight.

Vincent Gallo did it earlier in Buffalo '66.

Actually the first live action bullet time in a film belongs to Blade which released the year prior

Why is this scene so much clearer than the actual movie?

This has such WEIRD color. They tried to grade it to the skin tones I think, but it just makes everything else look bright blue.

Why doesn't it look green? Instead it looks a little purple. 🤷‍♂️
