Nobody talks about how successful the Pacers were without Mathurin. It made Nembhard a guaranteed playoff level starter.

The Pacers are actually better than the Knicks. They showed that last year.

Nice breakdown of his offensive game, he really is a beast. Every single one-to-one is his, whether it is in game or in practice. The big question is: Can he defend better? And it is a legitimate question and exactly what keeps him out. He has the physical tools, but lacks awareness on that end to the point that it can be very frustrating to watch. His competition for a starting place, at this point, is Aaron Nesmith. The reason Nesmith starts? 100% defensive effort. Mathurin's comp at this point in time would have to be a guy like Lou Williams, a sixth man who can torch you, , I want that next step so bad for him...

Re. seeding: Top 4. We will have some injury issues of our own, but this team's chemistry is through the roof, Hali and Siakam are super charismatic leaders and then we've got Myles who's now one of the longest serving Pacers in history. Just a bit of growth from guys like Mathurin, Walker and Sheppard (Nembhard's already arrived!) and we're much better than last season.

I love Ben but he has to learn to play defense. Ty is a liability on that end so playing both of them at the same time is tough. But we sure could have used his offense at the end of those games against Boston. Cuz for sure dude ain’t scared of the moment.
