After the endless amount of documentary I’ve listened, watched, and read on Chris Chan I’ve come to realize that from the very beginning he didn’t stand a chance. His environment, lack of good parenting, early access to the internet, buying hundreds of toys, etc. Of course he would feel entitled after all, he also used his Autism as a justification for his actions, but autism wasn’t the issue at all. He was abused. He KNEW he was different, he never truly developed social skills. Having Autism on top of this probably made it more difficult for Chris to understand social cues. I wonder if he ever reflects on himself or wonders how different his life could have been. Barbara was a terrible mother, and Robert was NO help. All the trolls, all the fake gal pals, the fake girlfriends, the manipulation, all of that led to him creating his ideal world where he HAD a “family” (CWCville) his own escape from reality became HIS reality. He even brought his only REAL friend at the time (Megan) into his fake fictional world, where he fantasizes what he wants. He is mentally ill. I wish things went different for Chris, he could have been so much more if he was brought up differently. I came close to crying after my realization that there is actual reasons why Chris is this way, no one is just “like that”. He won’t have a happy ending, and Chris will die being wasted potential and a burden to society.

Chris is such an enigma
At some points you feel so bad for this poor man who’s never had a chance in life

But then you don’t feel bad as he had all the signs telling him to get his life in order

But then you feel even worse for him since he is incapable of making those decisions because of how much abuse he’s been through

But then you don’t feel bad since even his trolls were trying to help in at times (in backhanded ways of course) but he’s also an egotistical maniac who’s obsessed with himself

But then you remember his condition and how far his mind has fallen and how he was abused in his childhood and how he at the end of the day was just genuinely lonely and angry at the world for his situation

Chris chan is a description of what would be endless tragedy of a man. There is nothing he can do at this point to reverse the unforgiving tide of fate.

This really helps encapsulate the tragedy of this one delusional, disturbed, childlike man whose upbringing had a major part in his downfall. Truly one of history's most tragic individuals.

This feels like a theme for a tragic character from a TV show, someone who got manipulated and abused and driven insane until you realise it's actually real. This is a theme about a real person and how their life was turned upside-down and destroyed, how they were manipulated into being a horrible person, it's just so surreal and sad, I get emotional too it every time.
