This is the most helpful video I’ve seen for this. I’m following your steps to the T but the thing still won’t budge. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’m turing it counter-clockwise from the front as shown.

There is a flat on the back of the assembly at the spindle. You use the wrench they provide to loosen the quick change collet. The nut at the front is to add or remove compression to the internal sleeve. I have 3 of them and they all work with no issues. I do prefer the quick change collet from Dremel because it’s much smaller in diameter. The Ryobi collet is larger in diameter than some of the bits I sometimes use and interferes.
