I love and hate this game equally. I love it in general, but despise these escape levels. At least this one is shorter than the water one which almost drove me to insanity.

Yeah many I got stuck on the part where you need to glide upward with the feather. With all the chaotic stuff happening, it didn't really register that those drafts were something you could ride up. I probably died 20 times there before coming to see this video. Other than that, the escape was actually one of the easier ones but that part was not obvious (to me anyways).

0:48 That part with the water made me go insane EVERY TIME! The way Kuro ALMOST catches you made me scared to no end. I was glad the action slowed down a little in the water.

Took me about 3h in first run, and then 15 minutes the next day to finish this last escape!
Definately the hardest escape in this game!!!

Really didn't care for these Dragon's Lair style escape segments. Having half a second to figure out where you're going and what's just an artistic touch by the level designer is bad enough but having to go all the way back to the start every single time the instant-death mechanic catches up to you is just awful.

This part had me so frustrated that I went from sympathising with the owl, to wanting to smash its last god damn egg!

Oh, great, after 40 minutes trying to finish this stage and turning off my TV so I wouldn't throw my controller against it, that video showed me that I died a couple times just a jump away from the end. I also love and hate this game equally.

I think I got a couple of heart attacks doing this mission...

This is one of the most frustrating sequences I have ever encountered in a video game. This is Contra tier, not harder than Contra ofc, but same tier.

What got me all messed up is the very last bit, where you bash off the falling rocks. I always missed them and it pissed me off. Finally I decided to aim more towards the center and I did it. Goddamn, this game is wonderful and infuriating at the same time

I died a thousand times at three places: first breakable ground, reaching the water, getting up the tree in the end. When I first watched this video I had to take a break because I was literally millimeters from finishing 😂😂😂 I got so mad. But the end ❤️❤️❤️

I rage quit and looked this up twice because first I didn't see the air going up, then I didn't think to jump off the falling rocks

Yep, it's the typical hate-love relationship here. I HOPE the Sequel get's these escape levels right...

You don't understand how much this helped me, I was stuck bc the time is too short for me to figure out what to do

Minor techs to help people going for speed:

Hold down the jump button to swim faster (you don't need to spam-press it).

You can release the slam button early to launch yourself faster. This can often make things a lot easier since you'll be flowing from leap to leap rather than awkwardly pausing in-between.

You don't need to hold down any buttons to power-jump off a wall. Just press the corresponding movement key to automatically begin charging up the ability (pressing jump to release).

Tried today so many times, to the point when the first easy stages of this escape started getting worse and worse.

So many people complaining about the escape sequences. Yes they were hard and frustrating, but does anybody remember Rayman 2 from 1999 when there was no youtube to help you?
