I've been playing this game for 1 year now and I'm still convinced, that you can somehow skip half of the track by jumping to the right after the first ramp. Been grinding since then.

What are your checkpoint times? I can’t get ahead of my own ghost car by .05 by the first check point. Doesn’t matter what I do in the air before the ramp.
