FWIW, a month ago both Max and Toto's planes were spotted landing in Eindhoven airport within the time span of an hour. Both left after a couple of hours.

I live for Max being the hunter. In some convolated way I feel he'll come full circle, back to the street fighter he had to be in the time that led to his infamous first championship. He's older, wiser and reached his goals far earlier than expected. He found balance in his private life and his new endeavours with his own team. He in fact will still want to be number one but he's comfortable in the knowledge that for him it can be rinse and repeat, even with a bad car, where the other nineteen ( yes even Lewis) have to consolidate their position with every race.
Winning is the end game of course but for Max, F1 is not.

I can understand Lewis not wanting Max as teammate. But to leave Mercedes and still have the request at Toto to not talk to Max… Isnt that a bit over the top when you leave the team?

That’s what I’ve been saying about GR this whole time, he is prone to make mistakes when he is in the clutch, it has never failed. Yes like Lando he can win from the front but to fight for the win on a consistent basis….idk about that one

It’s funny how fast people forget about ‘24. That year Lando also had a faster car. At the turning point from Miami onward Lando wasn’t dominating. Why would he now? If the Red Bulls, Ferrari’s and Mercedes are closer Lando and McLaren have less room for errors.

Think it's safe to say Lewis wouldn't have 7xWDC.
If Max moves to a new team that is competing for the WDC, would Max become at least 8XWDC, I think it's safe to say that's true.

I agree with Lewis blocking Max from becoming his teammate. Hamilton also tried to stop russell joining. Lewis was at his best with a wingman number 2 driver like Bottas. By having a quicker teammate, he would only be compromising his chances of winning. Many of the great drivers did the same.

A pairing is two people working together, go look up the meaning. Senna and Prost never worked together, they were two individuals on the same team. And Lewis said: might be. We have to wait for the end of this year to know the truth. Lewis and Alonso also never worked together. Their main aim for 25 is working together for the constructors championship.

To be honest, @Cameron Cc, I’m still struggling to understand the logic you're implying here. How did you go from Toto Wolff promising Lewis Hamilton not to talk with Max Verstappen—meaning not to negotiate with him—to the conclusion that Lewis forbade it?

If there’s one driver in F1 over the past 20 years who has proven he’s not afraid of adversity, it’s Lewis Hamilton. Just do your research and point me to one F1 driver who has had the caliber of teammates Lewis has faced, three world champions and two potential world champions.

I’m not a Lewis Hamilton fan, but I am a fan of the technical aspects of F1. When I look at the adversity faced by drivers like Max Verstappen and others, there’s just no comparison. And frankly, I just can’t see the pattern that leads me to the conclusion of your logic in this case!
