I worked on death row and around Sigmon about 12 years ago he wasn't a mild manner man at times, Ive seen him get upset and could imagine what he could or would of done if that door didn't separate us, but the next the day he apologized. I forgave him but never forgot how he acted over something simple as milk and coffee. Putting these men to death in SC doesn't change the fact that their family members won't forget who or how their family members were killed or the pain that was inflicted on them. prison isn't as sweet as some may think. A life sentence w/o parole in itself can be a death sentence.
