the sheep are slowly being sacrificed one by one for each wish the shepherd grants. The black sheep notices its flock dwindling, and brings it to the other's attention. The story goes on but tl;Dr the black sheep is shunned and eventually killed, the cycle of sheep wishing and killing continuing because the sheep all believe that they will not be sacrificed and instead given everything they want, even as others die. The person who tells you this story is named Scar, and he tells you all about the real story behind what's really going on in the world (at least, that's what you're led to believe) but ANYWAY the real connection I found with wuwa and 86 is the Tacet Discords (again, somewhat SPOILER FOR 86 and Wuthering Waves)
The TD's (in wuwa only) are dead human soldiers turned into monsters, or rather parts of their human memories and intellect - soul even, into these corrupt manifestations that the Midnight Rangers (soldiers) fight off against that kinda aligns with the Legion in 86 absorbing the defeated 86 pilots to become more intelligent beings and as a psychological war tactic I suppose.(Some non-86 lore; on the frontlines especially, soldiers and others stationed there have hallucinations of phantoms due to the unusual weather conditions, which is still similar in a way to how 86 depicts the battles between the Legion and their soldiers, just with added racism in 86 because its got a basis from the Holocaust in terms of it's people discrimination) I was immediately hit with 86 nostalgia at the human-monster connection, and I highly recommend both the anime and Wuthering Waves! 86 is also a mecha anime, as a warning if you aren't into that! Also a little romance wink wink.
