How to Setup Atomiswave & Naomi in Batocera

For people struggling with this in Batocera 35, I have the following suggestions:

On Internet Archive I found the alternative Romsets "Atomiswave non-merged" and "Naomi non-merged". I put those into the respective folders in Share>Roms. These ROMs are for MAME, but are now supported by the Flycast emulator in Batocera This worked much better for both Naomi and Atomiswave. They load fine and the controls are mostly working. I think that is because each of the the ZIP files contain the ROM as well as the necessary BIOS files.

Which Naomi Romset would you use for Batocera 35? Naomi is the only system I can't get working on my system

I have batocera 35 and I have my BIOS updated and Naomi games work but for some reason when I try to run Atomiswave the games don't even start up it doesn't even start up the emulator and I never renamed any of the ROM files

They got the controls right on this one better than Sega Model 3 buttons set up and looks like it has better control than Sega Model 2, too bad it can't run Sega Model 2 and 3 games.

For anybody who's games aren't launching make sure your bios version matches batoceras. I searched for Bios 35 batocera and used that. Pretty sure all of them launch now but the audio and gameplay is a tad choppy. That might just be my computer though. Any tips are appreciated.

since 33 My atomiswave/naomi games wont work.
Tried Flycast and all other options....any 1?

Can't say enough how much I appreciate this channel and it's content.
Have a question about wii emulation on latest retrobat using dolphin-emu not retroarch.
For some reason when launching a game it will never pull the controller configuration profile.
Anyway to fix this issue?

Thanks to your video, it works on RPi 4 at least Naomi. For some reason no Atomiswave game is not playing.

I am running Bat 3.1 with the 3.1 bios pak. I am using Xbox1s Bluetooth controller. All running on PC. I am not able to steer on the racing games. Is there a service menu that I have to access to configure controller? All other Atomiswave games work fine and are pre configured. Thanks for all of the great work everyone at the Nation are doing, you’ve helped me get a nice retro setup.

I like bezels over black bars anyday but we can only have those for retroarch cores so for systems where we cant use them like the stand alone emulators I think may as well use widescreen hack.
I tried the widescreen hack option for gamecube and seems to work great as well.
You think a future update of batocera would somehow allow the use of bezels for the stand alone emulators? Would be great to have bezels for gamecube and PS2 for eg.

why do some naomi games launch in freeplay? however in the flycast config I unchecked run in freeplay

Is there a way to remap the control in these systems I'm using a xarcade controler it works great for final burn neo and several other emulators in batocera but with these system the control layout is not right

Way too fast with the Naomi advanced settings. Slow it down and show what changes you are making.
