Calculus - u substitution for integrals

Remember its usually a good idea to choose a piece for u whose derivative is similar to another piece in your integral.

my professor just gave us a bunch of integral formulas then solved his examples without much of explanation on why or how is it done as if expecting us to understand it already. after that, he gave a homework that includes the need of u substitution and he haven't taught that yet! i was so furious but thank you so much! your calc videos saved me lot :">
