Great idea! Thank you. You have so many great ideas for the garden.
Looking at it, you could likely anchor it using a couple of ropes over the top and tying to tent pegs, ground staples or anchors screwed into the sides of your raised bed.
The other idea I have is to drill holes on the bottom of your frame or screw in islets to attach twine to and anchor it with tent pegs or ground staples.
I just thought of another idea! If I covered the sides in 1” chicken wire and use something pliable for the sides this might really help me with my squirrel problem and it will store flat for the off season! The squirrels are driving me crazy.

Clever. The essence of simplicity. Lightbulb moment :)

I like it! Nice. I like the hinge idea.

I read that an upside down V was great for our climate since the heat bounces around better than on a curve. This is perfect

Cool idea. I have a couple of mini-domes that use removeable steel hoops that I can disassemble and store away. Done with them now! I already harvested radishes, spinach, and kale, and got a good start to carrots and parsnips. No frost issues at all!

Great idea! You come up with such super easy and cheap stuff for the garden. Now to find some old hinges or rubber. 😊

Wee L brackets will also work, if people can't find mending plates.
The Hungarian guy next-door has a load of just under 2ft/60cm panes of glass. There is an old school version of your mini tunnel with bull wire & glass panes. So will be collecting them tomorrow, and will store them for next Spring.

It's been the poor man's cloche for a very long time, and a classic of old 70s early 80s gardening books/TV shows. You basically updated it to suit your needs, budget, and available materials.

If you look up "Mr Smith's Vegetable Garden. Part 1" 44:12 you should see exactly the glass & wire cloches I'm talking about. Also, worth a watch to see just how regimented the vegetable garden/allotment used to be back in the day.

Thanks Greg! I'm going to make one, only not as tall, cos we get wicked winds here.

If your garden beds are very long, and say you had 10 foot long stock lumber, you could make some 40x20 and others 44x16 or 43x17 so that when they're at the angle you like, they just snugly nest with each other then alternate a tall one, short one, tall one, short one etc. Or make them all the same and have a way they lock together. The more stable, the less you'd need added weight on top.

I’m thinking about wind and stability. The large amount of vertical plastic on your A frame will cause the A frame to become a sail and fly away. To increase stability, consider extending the vertical legs of the A frame, say 6 inches, so they can act as stakes that you can drive into the garden soil. These stakes should greatly increase the stability of your A frame. Great idea by the way! 💡💡💡

That is too cool. No pun there. I suppose I can also make em for shade and pest protection using different materials. I'd just have to figure the height. So cool. Greg you gardens and entire area is glorious. Shows me your "sit and look" approach.

Great idea Greg...gonna steal it for myself for next Spring! Love the fact it stores flat.
Thanks for the video. 😊

Using a wider triangle end piece will allow it to adjust for shorter or taller plants, as well. I like it 👊

Looks good! Not sure if it would work here because of wind, but I might try one to see how it goes. Thanks for the idea.

Thank you for this idea. I’m getting older and cannot lift as much as I used to.

Not criticizing - just wondering. If the goal is to create a micro-climate (create warmer climate for seed germination / prevent plant death in winter), won't the openings at the top defeat the purpose (since heat rises)? On your dome design, I think you put tiny rocks at the bottom for gaps that allows some air circulation, correct?
Thank you

Nice idea! Do you plug up the holes when it gets close to freezing?

Hi Greg...do you have a large dome I could put over my garden? My plants are swimming! :(
