CGR Undertow - THE LEGO MOVIE VIDEOGAME review for PlayStation 3

Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of The LEGO Movie Videogame for the PlayStation 3 developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Warner Bros. Interactive.

Based on the popular 2014 film, The LEGO Movie Videogame is the rarest of things—a movie game that’s actually good. In fact, it’s really just another in the long-running series of LEGO games. It just happens to be based on a LEGO movie. The game follows the plot of the movie pretty closely, featuring actual video clips from the film for cut scenes. The LEGO universe has been divided by the obsessive-compulsive orderliness of President Business, and only Emmet can restore proper LEGO disorder. Doesn’t hurt that Batman is there, too. The LEGO Movie Video Game features gameplay similar to previous LEGO games, allowing players to smash objects, collect LEGO pieces and build LEGO creations to help them on their way. Some characters are even master builders, who can make stuff from pieces that aren’t even broken. The LEGO Movie Video Game is a single and multiplayer game and is available on several platforms.

1. 007 Goldeneye
2. 007 World is not enough
3. Nearly all of the Harry potter games. (Except goblet of fire)
4: The warriors.

People forget Wall-E the videogame was also good.

Eh to be fair there were many versions.

So... i guess its up to preference.

But one thing is for sure! Movie game ost's slap!

I'm honestly getting sick of the bias against licensed games. They're not inherently a bad thing and I'm getting sick of the generalizations. Also, how the hell do you define "good" and "bad"? That's shit's subjective but that said, I'm glad you like this game.

Still wish they'd make a LEGO game that was really about building, something where you could actually build your own stuff and use it in the world.  maybe they should reboot LEGO racers, I never had it myself, but after watching game play videos it looks awesome!

aladin (or any 16 bit era game that was based on a disney licenses), golden eye, chronicles of riddick escape from butcher bay, the lord of the ring games, the hobbit on the gamecube, spiderman 2, i hear some of the spongebob games can be really good, and king kong to name a few

I just recently played through LEGO Marvel and that was definitely my favorite LEGO game to date. It was pretty flipping awesome. This one isn't necessarily on my get-list, but if someone bought it for me I'd most definitely play it. TT Games just keeps getting better with time.
