Welcome back to MarcelianOnline! It’s time we discuss the so called feral druid rework in War Within and as much as we try to go positive on the feral druid hero talents, the changes made to the spec tree… honestly leave a lot to be desired

We’re going to cover both wildstaker and druid of the claw feral druid but with more emphasis on the many changes made to specific talent nodes and try to understand what the philosophy is so if you ever considered maining a feral druid, watch this until the end to understand the state of the spec in War Wtihin Alpha

I had a discussion with one of the best feral players and from what i understood, "coiled to spring" and "ressourceful hunter" seems to be likely just placeholders for now !
And i'm pretty sure they would change that in that case.
I feel that they are still trying to push the bleed profile.
Haste does make bleeds tick faster and there is a synergy there with predator that increases generators's damage. It means more direct damage and faster bleeds which is good.
I would see a total change in stats to go for feral specially for the wildstalker hero talents going Master > Haste > Crit > Vers.
And i agree with tireless energy at the start of the expansion by the time we gear up and scale our haste, the talent might be the way to go.

And with changes with class tree and the fact that every periodic abilities now scales with mastery (cf. Razor claws), LI and adaptive swarm are to hurt way more now.
In the class tree we can talent into Nurturing Instinct (6% more magical damage), Lore of the grove (10% more LI damage), hunt beneath the open skies (5% more li damage) Sabertooth(15%
more damage to all periodics on the main target) so many modifiers :O

I know this might change with tuning, but i feel like they really are trying to make feral waay more into Dots than in DF, which explains the slowdown on energy regen since they intend to increase our damage that much more.

I’m not surprised at all by this. I swear blizzard intentionally goes out of their way to fuck feral over every chance they get. It’s been like this since legion, we occasionally have a good patch, but it’s clear that the class designers just don’t give a shit about us.

The energy changes are going to make feral feel worse, combining that with the tigers fury changes means ferals aoe in M+ is going to get inadvertently nerfed, and it’s likely going to be significant which is an area that feral has historically struggled the most.

Overall I’m not surprised, just disappointed that once again my favorite spec is getting “changes” that will just fucking ruin it once again.

As for the hero talents it seems pretty clear to me that Druid of the Claw was made for bears, and wildstalker was made for resto. Both of those hero talents will be great for guardian and resto respectively in M+, and just like whatever for cats.

MOP feral was when i fell in love with druids! The bleed class just felt perfect 😔

Let's be honest here, the usual suspects hybrid meeles are always left behind for some reason (Feral and Enhancement, huh?). I think they should shift them more into the pre-MOP times = less healing and more damage. Also, hero talents should be more about fantasy and rotation, not about raw damage output if you ask me

I want to try the spec again. Haven't played since WoD. Is the movement still amazing? Loved how fast I could get from pack to pack :)

Hero talents are supposed to be mostly passive. We asked for that since we don't want more button bloat.

I HATE bloodtalons. I've been playing since WotLK and I've seen a lot of mechanics come and go in the game, many of which were so much fun. This one, which I hate so much, is seemingly going to stay forever.

I disagree with your point on switching berserk cooldown from being based off combo points spent to a flat 2 mins, the previous version relied heavily on constant uptime, which is cool…. Except when every dungeon/raid boss has mechanics that require you to move out of melee range for significant time and lose that uptime, making the cd closer to 3 mins while also making it impossible to calculate when your big cd will be up (so you can combo with your friendly neighborhood priest PI’s and Aug evokers).

For anyone actually playing feral at a decently high level, we will absolutely love this change.

Yoo m8, u said it all. I feel bad for feral, survival and dk which is my main. The thing is that they need the same love such as mage/paladin. O.M.G iam freakin jealous from their rework/revamp. The blizz team giving all their focus and doing amazing things . Iam hoping to do the same for all those classes who have left behind all those years with just buffs and nerfs all the way across. I saw your last video thats why i`m of fireeee 🔥🔥🔥 Love ya :D :D

It seems like feral druid is being held hostage from the Bloodtalons talent. I know most of the feral community likes playing around that talent, but I feel like its preventing new players from wanting to try it out. I know Lion's Strength is a thing, but if ALL the websites are saying use bloodtalons, that likely discourages players from even trying it in the first place.

Feral looks and feels like a Sin Rogue without Kingsbane, Envenom or caustic spatter. Only pressing FoK/Trash, keep rake/garrote up and press aoe bleed.

Its all the maintenance without the highs and lows. Without the fun moments of having a Kingsbane tick on a caustic spatter target for 500k dmg.

I'd love to see something like tigers fury being exiting and gameplay changing.

Like during tigers fury rake and trash are consumed by rip and rip rolls all remaining damage into the next application. So you build a BIG bleed every tiger's fury window.
And a hyper bleed during Berserk and fury.

Would work in AoE as well.

Like something Blizzard.
