IU is arguably the biggest female soloist in Korea. Although she is greatly beloved in Eastern Asia, she was said to be less known in the western world because, as she writes basically all her songs they are mostly in korean and her style is quite different to the mainstream kpop. Even so, this past weekend she finished her first world tour including concerts in the US and Europe, which also sold out within minutes.
If you want a similar emotional vibe from IU I'd recommend "Ending scene", or for her more kpopy side there's "Holssi" from her newest album or the older "Bbibbi"
There's also an "Ending scene" cover/duet with V, the guy from the MV which is quite great imo

IU’s voice is so soothing, she is Korea’s sweetheart, and the male lead in this MV is also a singer called V (both his and IU’s names are stage names)

His eye is a different color because he is blind from that eye. In the camcorder it shows them before their injuries. IU is a seasoned and well renowned South Korean singer and actress (she's the one in the video), you should definitely check more of her work.
The guy from the MV is actually a member of BTS and an actor as well, V is his stage name. You could also check his work, I bet you would be surprised with his voice and music style.

If you probably heard of BTS but haven't checked their sound, it's a good next journey. They have a variety of genres that you could probably enjoy.

I wish I could relive discovering IU for the first time again. You guys have just stumbled unto the gem of korea. Fyi, in the world of kpop, its a fast pace industry which is mostly dominated by boy/girl groups which mostly have a 7 year lifespan of enjoying fame, most dont last more than that, if those that do would mean they've really succeded or would slowly branch into solo projects. IU is an anomaly as she debut as a soloist back in 2008 and has been on the top even after 17 years in the industry. As another commenter as mentioned, she isnt as big as other kpop groups internationally but her latest world tour that has just ended showed that her demand from the US and UK is very miuch real, is just that she hasnt ventured much outside of Asia to test the waters. Shes a singer songwriter who writes almost all her songs. Actress as you can see shes the one in the video above and also involve in many great kdramas and now movies. For me one of the best singers not just in the sense that she can sing veruy well but the fact the she understands her vocal tone so well and that her voice brings out so much emotion and comfort when heard.

She has alot of great songs but i would recomment trying out her live stages from her concert that is free on her channel to get a taste of what she can do

It's hard to catch, but his right eye is blue through the video to indicate he is blind in that eye...that's why after they discover that the camcorder shows them in a perfect light (clean, in neat clothes, no injuries) the woman comes close to him to see his injured eye looking perfect and whole and brown like his other normal eye

It's also why she covers his normal eye at the end, leaving his blind eye uncovered - so he cannot see death approaching them

She is easily the biggest soloist in South Korea, and is incredible live. She is also one of my favourite actors.
I would really recommend checking out some of her live performances, especially from her Golden Hour concerts and Love Poem tour.

IU is too talented to exist in this world, it’s almost surreal. She wrote this song and produced this video. She’s a critically acclaimed and award-winning actress, singer, producer, composer and lyricist. The #1 soloist who has the most #1 songs in Korea. Stream her dramas “My Mister” and “Hotel del Luna” if you get a chance. You’ll love it. 👍
