To all the left nuts saying this is from fracking. Nope. This was at a depth of over 6 miles, many miles below fracking depth. Stop it. Get some help.

Only Earthquake Ive ever been through I basically slept through entirely. I remember waking up to a loud rumbling and I was so out of it I thought it was a semi truck driving down my street for some reason and then I just fell back asleep 5 seconds later. I honestly thought it was a dream until I heard my parents mention it later the next evening.

Maybe if y’all diversified your economy a little bit and weren’t so relying on those damn oil companies, you wouldn’t have these situations. They’re waking up faults that have not had activity in millions of years over there. We had the same thing happened in the DFW area a few years back. They woke up a fault that hadn’t had any activity in the last 200 million years with their fracking. All we need is a decent size quake in the wrong epicenter and will have tens of thousands of casualties in the state. We don’t have the same building regulations they have in California, we probably fight against it knowing us because, you know, government. Anyway, it will result in buildings collapsing, gas leaks and fires everywhere and people dying. That’s what happens in places where there is an earthquake in the infrastructure is not set up to withstand it. Think Mexico City 1985. It was a horrible catastrophe. places like LA in San Francisco and Mexico City can’t help it, they have active faults. Texas, we shouldn’t have these problems. We don’t have any active faults. We’re not supposed to, anyway. Except that now, oil companies are causing it to happen because they’re not being careful about where they check for oil.

I felt it here in Dallas. very slightly. I thought my seat was just rocking slightly bc I had just sat in my gaming chair and my heart was pounding from running up a couple flights of stairs in my home.

The last snd only one I really felt was yhe big one was 7.9 here in CA. Those 15 sec felt like minutes. I grew up with them all my life in San Diego but nothing like that one! Most of the time I feel very little shaking but always waiting for another big one that shakes things up. I'm more nervous about rain, wind and flooding events.

Don't criticize farmers and ranchers with your mouth full.
Don't criticize the oil and gas industry when you are driving.
Don't criticize Free Speech when you are shooting off your mouth.

It's ok. Keep hydraulic fracking, we need every drop of natural gas and oil.
