First the Actress who plays Mariah has been acting on that show & other shows sense she was little. Become an actress & show your skills, because its not easy learning your lines on a SOAP OPERA everyday. Its different from the Movies. To play any kind of a Couple whether TV or Movies it takes Chemistry & Trust.with the Storyline, Y&R has others who have divorce & sleep with different family member back & forward & that Means the men & the women & if their not sleeping with each other, their backstabbing one another. Then there's Cults, stealing babies, or a Bunch of snobs, , Etc. So yes it was Time for something different. Tessa & Noah looked to week as a couple & the first actor who played Noah, didn't come over good even as Sharon's son & this second one is even weaker. Glad Mariah saw someone else she liked instead of Devon & that was Tessa. Even though this is TV, writers give the audience real life stuff cause in the world there has always been Straight & LBGTQ people sense beginning of time, just more prevalent today. Guess that's life.

On the other side, so many shows on TV have gay couples, bi-sexual couples and bi-racial couples that I feel these relationships are being crammed down viewers throats.
