As a man, I feel the same. She could destruction my life with a single allegation. Even if she just STATES, she didn't feel safe near me to other women that will hurt my career.

As a man. I would feel terrified in a situation like this. Alone with a strange woman that could ruin my life with a false allegation

But she would go in the elevator if a bear was in there 😂

That's a Fact Jack!! People are more afraid of insulting somebody than almost anything else and it causes Real Problems!! Listen to your gut and screw their feelings!

He is absolutely right. The term that we use is "Situational Awareness." Know where you are and what's going on around you.

As a man, I was walking around the block and saw two dudes talking near the ally entrance. Knowing that there have been some questionable characters around my neighborhood, I just turned around and walked the other way. Trust your instincts.

I played college soccer. We had seminars about how to deal and avoid the risk of being accused of SA by some jersey chasing girl and that could ruin our education and career. You have to be careful, people can make things up. It was actually really nice to have an administration that realizes women make things up.

Trust your instinct, animals do that to survive. Trust your gut feeling.

It definitely goes both ways. A womans fear is instinctual, and a mans fear is circumstantial. Women fear getting attacked by random men, and men fear catching a random case.

I agree with this man. It is of utter importance to listen to the deep inner feelings. I hardly survived an attack in a forest when a man, unbeknown to me, followed me. Before I even became aware of, I had a strong inner warning and an urge to hide. My self talk was, that oh I am overanxious etc. Then he appeared and when I locked eyes with him, my blood froze as I knew this man wanted to harm and kill me. I only survived as I then started to listen to my intuition that gave me guidance how to escape him, which I did. This experienced had an impact on the rest of my life.

It's called pattern recognition, not prejudice or racist.

A man working alone in an empty building. He finishes in the middle of the night and takes the elevator down to the parking lot. Suddenly, the elevator stops and a lone woman walks in. In a building with banks of elevators and at a time when there should be no one around this woman enters a solid, soundproof structure and it makes the man feel unease knowing most violent crime is perpetrated against men. And even if nothing happens but the woman feels any certain way then he would have his and his family’s whole lives ruined with false allegations. Worst off, he will never know what, who, when, or why as he is not allowed to face his accusers. Even if he knows he is being used as a scapegoat for the woman to get out of a situation unrelated to him, the woman regrets getting into the elevator with him or he is in a position that the woman covets, or just because the woman thinks it just a joke, there is nothing he can do.

This is a much bigger topic than just fear, it's about common sense.

Literally, the definition of profiling and discrimination, and I agree, and it's logical. Regardless of the reason, if you don't feel safe, don't do it. As a male nurse, I refuse to enter the room alone when the patient is a young drunk female. I don't trust them, and they can destroy me with one completely false allegation.

To be honest, a man should equally be concerned these days. Anyone can lie, manipulate, be violent, play victim and seek revenge on a stranger.

In other words, it’s completely logical to profile people based on measurable trends.

It's guys like this that have arguments like this that make women pick Bears over men

As a guy, when I am walking home at night, if there is a woman walking infront of me i switch to the opposite side of the road simply because I dont want her to feel unsafe.

So true! Fortunately, I'm anti-social & paranoid, so I sometimes just wait for the next elavator or just do the stairs if I feel wary. Don't care how they take it~just saying!😊But hey, have a great day!

I work as a lawyer for victims of physical and sexual assault and I can assure you that what this man says is 100% true, there is always a previous sign or a self-care measure that victims voluntarily decide to ignore
