Make a Simple Hurricane Shutter Wing Nut Tool - Hurricane Preparation DIY

I made a little tool to make it easier to install those awful wing nuts on hurricane shutters. It took about 5 minutes to make and I wanted to share this tip with others just getting to this. Be safe!!!

Great idea! When I bought my house down here I made sure it had accordion shutters. I am big on energy conservation especially when hurricane preps take so much time and energy. That is also why I'm sending Jesse to Home Depot in the AM to get a hand truck to move all the big planters instead of "walking" them to various locations. Stay safe and hunker down.

This is such a good idea especially with all of the tragedy that's come through in the last weeks of fires and floods! As we prepare for this major hurricane to hit Florida I hope this helps them!

How about making the slots a little deeper and then add magnets and it will be even easier.

Great idear, you could have made the shaft smaller so it would fit in a drill to make it super fast. 8)
