This song captures perfectly the feeling of nostalgia for me, that ache in your heart for a place that no longer exist. For me, 1982 Delta Colorado, Friday night, off work from Terrell's Restaurant, cruising Main Street, house parties later, I was 19, young and free and i didn't even know it. Memories lost and forgotten like tears in the rain...

As a cinematic studio owner, I wonder if people are aware of all they are seeing. What first strikes me is the production values achieved using only basic instruments, affordable mics and a home studio. Spectacular. That's how Billie Eilish began too. Technology has thankfully lowered the cost barrier for talents like Chiara. Next are her orchestrations, interpretations, compositions and a glorious lack of vocal gymnastics. Her voice is simple, elegant and expressive. I find myself wanting to hear more of her work - something rare in my business. I hope she ventures further into her own work beyond covers as a singer/songwriter. When and if she does, I am sure she will occupy a delightfully unique place within an otherwise homogenous musical world - and many like myself will be listening closely.
