Speakers Moi Guiquita and Alexis McGivern discuss the current status of fossil fuel phase-out, the role of UNFC and non-state actor agreements, and the political dynamics of fossil fuel expansion and phase-out. Moi Guiquita, a Waorani Activist, shares his personal connection to the rainforest and the significance of indigenous peoples in protecting it. He emphasises the negative impacts of fossil fuel extraction on communities and the environment. Alexis discusses the fossil fuel sector's commitment to Net Zero and recent international and non-state actions on fossil fuel phase-out.
